I tell my friends that I don't want him to ask me out because he's ugly, but I'm just saying that to cover up the fact that I really like him.
I wonder what they would do if he asks me out and I say yes?

They might ridicule you some, but just LOOK THEM IN THE EYE and tell them that if they are so shallow as to judge a person by how they look rather than who the person is inside, then they aren't true friends and you'll be re-thinking your association with them..... It REALLY is UNIMPORTANT in the full scheme of things what a person looks like.....What difference did it make that Hitler was a fine-looking man when he was younger? He still turned out to be just about the most evil person anyone had ever known.....You ever see a school picture of Charles Manson? He was kind of good looking as a teen also.... Ever see a high school pic of Oprah? Kind-of a geeky lookin chick, but turned out to be one of the kindest human beings on this planet....I could go on and on, but I'm sure by now you get the picture....Go ahead and grab that date with him if he asks you out, and if the friends give you any guff, show them my post and ask them to think about it...specially the Hitler reference...
